Netflix subscribers have been obsessing over the series that got them hooked from the very first episode.
Needless to say, having a good opening episode is extremely important.
It could be the horrifying start to Game of Thrones, which brings viewers straight into the action of the threat bearing down.

Or maybe it's the effortlessly suave and morally bankrupt Don Draper discussing how to market cigarettes with a waiter at a bar ahead of his pitch in Mad Men.
In a completely different direction, it could be the gut-wrenching opening of The Boys, as a hapless man has his girlfriend reduced to bloody pulp by a speeding superhero as he still hold her hands, which are all that's left of her.
But according to many Netflix users, there's one series that's a cut above the rest and immediately had them hooked.
So what is it?
It's called The Blacklist, a thriller series which follows a group of high profile criminals who are being tracked down by the FBI.

Starring James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold and Mozhan Navabi - just to name a few - the show first aired on NBC back in 2013.
It went on to have 10 seasons, before coming to an end in 2023 and has since dropped on Netflix.
One person took to LADbible's Netflix Bangers Facebook group to share how they felt bereft after finishing the hit series.

In fairness, we've all been there having gotten so into a brilliant TV show or book that we become completely absorbed.
It's all very well while you're still in the midst of the story, but once it's done it's like you've been cut loose and are just adrift.
Replying to a post asking 'What show hooked you from the first episode?', they wrote: "The Blacklist is so good. I just finished it and I don't know what to do with myself."
Other people were quick to share their own experiences with the show.

The series has whopping 218 episodes to get through, so it'll keep you busy for a while.
It also has an extremely impressive score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. The critic score clocks in at a strong 91 percent, though the audience score is a little lower - but still respectable - 79 percent.
As far as thrillers go, it's one which has clearly drawn people in.
