A Netflix series filled with theories, lies and secrets has captivated viewers and left them begging for a new season.
There's just nothing quite like a good mystery to keep us entertained, is there?
Starring Gabriel Basso, who you might recognize from Super 8 or Hillybilly Elegy, the series was originally released with 10 episodes in 2023.
Basso takes on the role of Peter Sutherland, a low-level FBI agent who has landed a job in the White House - but it's not quite as glamorous as it seems.

Rather than acting as the president's right-hand man or even spending much time in the Oval Office, Peter is instead relegated to a small room in the basement of the iconic building, where he's tasked with monitoring a phone.
Night after night, the phone refuses to ring - until it does.
Peter then finds himself in the midst of a conspiracy that leads right back to the White House itself.
Titled The Night Agent, the series captivated viewers when it was first released, so much so that Netflix revealed fans had spent a staggering 812 million hours watching Peter's story unfold.

One year on from its initial release, fans are still recommending The Night Agent to those who are looking to sink their teeth into a new series.
When one Facebook user on LADbible's Netflix Bangers page asked for a series that was 'going to have [them] on the edge of [their] seat and wanting more', a number of users were quick to recommend The Night Agent.
The first season of the show has received a strong score of 74 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, so fans will be glad to know there's already a second season on the way.

The new episodes are set to air some time this year, and will see the return of
Basso and co-star Luciane Buchanan.
Shawn Ryan, creator and showrunner of The Night Agent, expressed his excitement for the second season in a statement, saying: “To see the tremendous reaction to the show has been a great joy and is a credit to our cast, our writers, our directors, our crew and our partners at Sony Pictures Television and Netflix.

"We couldn’t be any prouder or more excited to get cracking on Season 2 to share the further adventures of Night Action with our newfound fans.”
But while Ryan is excited to be bringing more episodes to fans, some people have argued that's still not enough.
"I’m so mad it’s only 2 seasons," one person said of the series.
Hopefully the new episodes will be enough to satiate fans - at least for a while!
