It doesn’t seem to make any sense, but there is something so relaxing about being stressed beyond belief watching a thriller.
Call me crazy, but sticking on Netflix, sitting down and being stressed beyond belief watching a film is… somehow a bit of a de-stresser if you ask me?
If you follow that (perhaps flawed) logic, we have the perfect film to de-stress by being kept in a constant state of anxiety for a full two hours.

It is no exaggeration to call this the most stressful film around, and that’s exactly what many fans are doing.
The film has a totally frenetic pace, an electronic-synth soundtrack that ratchets up every scene, and an incredible performance from Adam Sandler.
What more could you want?

Check out the trailer, which is stressful enough in and of itself.
The film is Uncut Gems and if you didn’t already guess that by hearing about a Netflix film being deemed the ‘most stressful film’ someone’s ever watched, we don’t have the same taste clearly.
For those who don’t know, don’t stress, because you still have the opportunity to watch an underrated classic.

Directed by the Safdie Brothers, who have also done the equally stressful Good Time featuring Robert Pattison, it follows Adam Sandler as Howie Ratner.
The film follows Howie’s increasingly elaborate ways in which he tries to escape a situation full of debt collectors and angry mobsters.
Add to that the feature debut of Julia Fox and a cameo from The Weeknd, prior to his acting role in The Idol, and of all people f**king Kevin Garnett.

Playing himself.
The most shocking thing of all? Kevin Garnett is really, really, good in the film.
One post on the Facebook group Netflix Bangers said of the film: “Most anxiety and stressful movie but suspense thriller. Must watch 10/10.”

The comments concurred, with one saying: “Loved it. Stressed me out from beginning to end. I think Adam should have at least been nominated for an Oscar for that film.”
Another commented “I found the ending nerve wracking!”
The film has a score of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, with Clarisse Loughrey of The Independent saying in their five star review: “Uncut Gems is a fairytale written by the hand of capitalism, where mystical highs are followed by crushing blows -- and there's always a price to pay.”
Sheila O’Malley of RogerEbert.com said: “It's excruciating and exhilarating,” in their 4/4 review of the film.
