The synopsis for the film follows a scientist who must face her 'tragic past' when it is discovered that a 'giant shark' is swimming in the waters of the Seine - just as a triathlon is set to take place.
Raving about the film, which has only been available on Netflix since June 5, one person raved on X: "Under Paris on Netflix was so good."
A second went on:" Saving the rest for tomorrow but the first few minutes of this new Netflix killer shark movie Under Paris are f***in remarkable, really luscious hi-def digital images with an almost sculptural use of light. Rewound it and watched it twice!"

Rather than the shark being defeated by the heroes, Under Paris instead shows the shark ultimately winning - with Paris soon flooded and overtaken by other spawns of sharks, and the map at the end implying that the shark problem would soon spread globally.

"Under Paris was fun. Great ending," a different person added.
As of now, no sequel has been announced, ultimately leaving the film open-ended.
Evidently Under Paris and its ending has left people divided - as has its reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
