As most of us are starting the watch Christmas movies, some people are still hanging on to Halloween.

The likes of Elf, The Holiday, Love Actually and The Polar Express are at the top of a lot of people's lists at the moment (something which one firm is offering to pay you to watch), but there seem to be some Netflix viewers who aren't quite in the festive spirit just yet and are still watching horrors.

There are a host of horrors available on the streaming platform at the moment - but there's one in particular that's got people talking.

Malignant dropped on Netflix earlier this week and seems to have been given a new lease of life by the streamer in light of it being two years old.

Starring Peaky Blinders favorite Annabelle Wallis, the synopsis for Malignant reads: "Paralyzed by fear from shocking visions, a woman's torment worsens as she discovers her waking dreams are terrifying realities."

The film is from the director behind highly acclaimed horrors The Conjuring, Saw and Insidious, James Wan.

In light of the two-year-old movie having recently dropped on Netflix, people have been sharing their thoughts about Malignant online.

"Malignant is on Netflix! One of the most unhinged horror movies in years. So good," one person wrote on X.

"Just watched the movie Malignant on Netflix. It’s a horror and it gets a thumbs up from me," added a second.

A third weighed in: "IF you haven't seen the horror movie Malignant, it's now on Netflix and I fully recommend it. F**king batshit, love it."

Meanwhile, someone else described the film as 'absolutely insane and so much fun', as another hailed the horror as 'refreshing'.

But it's safe to say that Malignant hasn't received all good reviews...

"Malignant on Netflix is well worth a watch, if only for how hilariously dreadful it is," one viewer said online.

And another branded it as 'truly awful'. Yikes.

It's mixed reviews are also obvious on Rotten Tomatoes.

Malignant has 76 percent on it Tomatometer, but just a 52 percent audience score.

"Fantastic film. Not just your run of the mill killer on the loose, it's got a good story, good acting, and a great twist! Brilliant," one reviewer raved on the website.

In contrast, another wrote: "This is genuinely one the of the worst films I've ever watched. But so bad to the point it's hilarious."

Love it or hate it, Malignant has sure got people talking.
