Nickelodeon has been accused of sexualizing pop icon Ariana Grande when she was a child star.
A bunch of accusations have come out in recent times surrounding the TV network, all thanks to the Investigation Discovery series, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
Ahead of the documentary's release, ‘uncomfortable’ footage resurfaced of Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider in a hot tub with 16-year-old Amanda Bynes, with the producer issuing a response in a statement provided to UNILAD.

But before all the allegations in the Investigation Discovery series came out, pop star Ariana Grande was already at the centre of Nickelodeon attention.
While the 30-year-old may be known as one of the biggest singers on the planet nowadays, she actually rose to fame as Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon series Victorious.
Grande may not be looking back these days with all her fame, but resurfaced clips from the show have still gone viral.
In fact, the clips have even left Nickelodeon being accused of 'sexualising' and 'infantilising' the star.

In the scenes - which were recorded when she was just 16 - Grande can be seen talking about her uvula (a teardrop-shaped bit of soft tissue hanging from the roof of your mouth) getting stuck between a hamster's toes, before putting her finger in the back of her throat.
She can also be seen talking about being 'soaking wet', as well as putting her toes in her mouth.
Another scene shows her lying on her back and pouring water on her chest.

The clips went viral on X, with the compilation viewed million of times.
One person wrote: "This is absolutely disgusting. As an adult watching this right now you can tell EXACTLY what they were doing.
"I hope she speaks on it, people will definitely support her. But understand exactly why she doesn't given how they treat people who do."
Another said: "This always makes me nauseous, imagine 'directing' a teenager to do that stuff as a grown man."

A third added: "When she stuck her finger in her mouth... She looked physically uncomfortable, and the feet thing... Just... Wow, disgusting."
UNILAD has reached out to Nickelodeon for comment.
This comes after a baffling Oscars appearance by the '7 Rings' singer, which led to her giving an explanation to fans as to why she has a 'new voice'.

One person posted on X: "Wtf happened to Ariana Grande??? I really thought everyone was exaggerating about her constantly changing personas. THE VOICE OMG THAT IS NOT ARIANA GRANDE."
"Ariana Grande really got rid of her previous accent in favor of a 60s transatlantic accent," another wrote.
