Dave Bautista has admitted he tries to sneak in a secret 'nod to' his 'career' into 'every film' he's in.
Before starring in movie hits such as 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and 2021's Dune, Dave Bautista was best known for his wrestling career and long stint as part of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). And despite having retired from WWE in 2019, the 55-year-old certainly hasn't forgotten about his previous job.
Bautista - who went by Dave Batista or simply Batista in the ring - wrestled in his debut match in 1999, before joining the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 2000 and later being promoted to WWE's main roster.

He won the World Heavyweight Championship in 2005 and carried on wrestling until 2010 when he quit WWE, quitting and rejoining on several occasions over a period of around nine years, before ultimately calling it quits from professional wrestling for good in 2019.
With his WWE career over, Bautista shifted his focus fully onto his acting career, however, the actor has since revealed there's a secret sign he tries his best to throw into every movie he stars in as a gesture of appreciation to his days spent as a pro wrestler and the fans he accumulated along the way.
Bautista told ComicBook it's 'kind of become [his] obsession' to try and 'squeeze' a 'Bautista Bomb' into 'every film' he works on.

For those of you who aren't WWE fanatics, the 'Bautista Bomb' is based on the 'powerbomb' move which is a professional wrestling throw often used to finish off opponents.
The powerbomb sees an opponent lifted into the air and then slammed onto the mat and the sit-out powerbomb is a variation which sees the attacker slam their opponent down, falling into a seated position themselves as they do so.
The sit-out powerbomb was populazied by Jushin Liger, however, it was also adopted - and re-dubbed - by Bautista.
But why does Bautista try and sneak it in?

Well, reflecting on how he managed to sneak it into his latest release - My Spy: The Eternal City - he said: "I just wanted to put it in. We were working on that fight scene and I was like, ‘Oh man this would be fun'. And now, it’s kind of become my obsession.
"I’m trying to squeeze it into every film just because. It’s one of those Easter eggs. I think if I can get it into every film, I will. It’s just a nod to my career. A nod to the fans."
And it's not taken long for people to weigh in on Bautista's easter egg plans on social media.
