If you're a fan of Glen Powell then you should probably show your appreciation for his new movie, especially considering he 'almost died' while filming it.
If choosing to continue after a near-death experience isn't dedication to your art, then I don't know what is.
Powell has admitted he came close to death while filming his new rom-com Anyone But You, in which he stars alongside Sydney Sweeney.

The film follows the two stars as they enjoy a great first date, only for their chemistry to turn cold. However, when they're unexpectedly reunited at a destination wedding, they decide to act like adults - by pretending to be a couple.
The plan naturally leads to all sorts of chaos, including a scene in which Sweeney's character has to pull a large spider out from the inside of Powell's shorts.
The situation leads to Powell frantically stripping off his clothes, with the actor telling Variety: "You just have to grip it and rip it on a scene like that. You know you’re not going to leave that filming day looking cool, so you just have to embrace it.”

So, how did Powell taking off his shorts in the x-rated scene result in a near-death experience? Well, it's worth mentioning that the scene took place at the side of a cliff.
“Taking your clothes off on the side of a cliff in a hurry is not safe either,” Powell explained.
“Nobody talks about that safety issue on set, where I almost died falling off a cliff taking my pants off too fast."
Thankfully, though, Powell having to quickly rip off his shorts didn't actually end with him taking a tumble off the cliff, meaning he can now look back on the moment with fond memory.

"It’s a really fun scene, so it was all worth it," he said.
Powell wasn't the only one who found himself in a troubling situation while filming Anyone But You, as Sweeney herself ended up being bitten by the spider used in the scene.
“There’s the spider itself, which actually bit me, and that was a whole thing,” Sweeney recalled. “And then we have the part of Glen bending over and me checking to see if there are more spiders.”

It took the pair half a day to film the spider scene, with the closeness between the two characters leading Sweeney to say that she's 'very acquainted with Glen now'.
Considering how badly the scene could have turned out, it seems like the two actors got off lightly!
You can see the moment in question for yourself when Anyone But You releases on 22 December.
