A Prime Video channel has just released your latest crime fix.

In recent days, Amazon's streaming platform has dropped a boat-load of new content.

Some big films include Four Weddings And A Funeral, Psycho, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and brand new Anne Hathaway's movie, The Idea of You.

But there's something else that has landed on AMC+, a Prime Video channel, and that's a 2016 movie you might not have heard of that received critical acclaim.

Titled I Am Not A Serial Killer, it's short but sweet synopsis reads: "In a small Midwestern town, a troubled teen with homicidal tendencies must hunt down and destroy a supernatural killer while keeping his own inner demons at bay."

    Well, that's me sold.

It's based on a book of the same name, penned by author Dan Wells.

If the trailer and synopsis hasn't convinced you, then maybe it's 93 percent score of Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer will.

One reviewer said of the film: "It is gorgeous and moody, creepy and engaging, often darkly funny and entertaining from start to finish."

Another wrote: "Originality is hard to come by, especially in horror films, but there's a good dose of it in this stylish and beguiling little chiller based on the first book in Dan Wells's YA book series."

"The strong screenplay demonstrates such an intuitive understanding of human emotion and despair that it elevates this genre gem into something strangely tender," mused a third.

Speaking at the time of it's release, director Billy O'Brien explained how he came to make the book into a movie, as well has how he learnt of the novel in the first place.

O'Brien revealed to Dread Central: "The book found me through a person, Irene Ilia’s - her job title’s a reader, which is strange to me, but she goes around to production companies and suggests projects."

The director continued: "I’d met her for coffee in Foyle’s Book Shop on Charing Cross Road in London and it was to kind of let her see inside my head, because I’ve got quote quirky sensibilities, and a producer told her to come and meet me because he couldn’t figure out what to do with me in terms of projects.

"She walked out of that, put her hand in the bookshelf, found the book, emailed me – I bought it the next day, read it, absolutely loved it. I wrote a letter to Dan Wells - and Dan responded."

I Am Not A Serial Killer is available to stream on AMC+ now.
