People are addicted to a new Jake Gyllenhaal crime drama, with fans begging Apple TV to 'just release all the episodes'.
Gyllenhaal has turned in some incredible film performances - think Donnie Darko, Nightcrawler, and Southpaw - but this is actually the 43-year-old's first TV role.
And, according to fans, it's a belter of a performance.

He plays a lawyer suspected of murder in Apple TV's original series Presumed Innocent, which first arrived on the streaming service on June 12, with episodes dropping weekly.
The show is based on a novel from 1987 of the same name and follows Gyllenhaal’s character, Rusty Sabich.
Sabich is a legal prosecutor who finds himself the prime suspect in the murder case of one of his colleagues.

The thriller series is ongoing, with four of the show’s eight episodes currently available to watch on AppleTV+.
While the show is only halfway through its run, fans are already praising it for just how much of an 'emotional rollercoaster' it already is.
One commenter on Facebook highly recommends the series: “I started this last night!! It’s SO good!”

“I watch at midnight on Tuesday/Wednesday right when it comes on,” another fan of the series revealed.
A third said: "The acting is tremendous especially for Jake Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard."
The Gyllenhaal-led series is not the first adaptation of the 1987 novel, as some commenters have taken the opportunity to compare the show to the 1990 film adaptation starring Harrison Ford.

“The original movie with Harrison Ford was great, too,” said one commenter.
Another was far more harsh in their comparison, bluntly saying: “The original with Harrison Ford was so much better.”
Other fans have stated their interest and enjoyment of the show but are not happy about the weekly release model.

“Man those weeks hurt, I wish I could binge-watch. It is so good and has great acting,” complained one commenter.
Another echoed similar sentiments: “Great show, I hate that I have to wait a week to see the next episode, though.”
The move away from the binge model has been something that many have complained about, as several streaming services have made releasing episodes weekly far more common over the past couple of years.
Presumed Innocent marks the first time that Gyllenhaal has played a recurring character in a television series.
