A self-proclaimed 'trophy husband' who is living happily with his three wives has explained why he doesn't feel the need to work.

A lot of people are happy to split the things in their relationships 50/50, but since he's already outweighed in his relationship 3-1, husband Nick Davis has a bit of a different approach.

The dad, who gained attention after appearing in TLC’s show Seeking Sister Wife, began to grow his family after his first wife, April, suggested they introduce another woman into their relationship.

Nick was happy to oblige and the pair welcomed Jennifer into the relationship - but why stop with two wives?

In 2022, the lovers introduced Danielle into their family, and they've since gone on to welcome a child, Vera.

Nick is also a dad to a teenager from a previous relationship.

The large family means there are a lot of people to support, but while April, Jennifer and Danielle are all working professionals, Nick has instead chosen to stay at home.

Nick likened himself to a 'king' on a chessboard.

The dad compared his role in the family to a king on a chessboard, saying he doesn't have a job because 'the king doesn’t move around much' while the 'queens' have all the power.

The women have said they 'prefer it that way', noting they make 'more than enough' money to allow Nick to stay at home.

While a polyamorous relationship isn't for everyone, April has said she's glad to have the other women around.

Speaking on Seeking Sister Wife, she said: "Nick's a lot to handle. Let's just say that… in a lot of ways. Nick is a lot to handle in the bed.

"Nick's a lot to handle in general with his personality. It's nice to be able to have helping hands."

Nick said his life is a 'dream come true'.

If you're curious to know exactly how the relationship works, the family explained that the women are only in sexual relationships with Nick, rather than with each other.

They all sleep in the same bed, with the women 'sandwich[ing] [Nick] as he sleeps at night', but they have separate areas of their home where they can each be intimate with their shared husband.

When Nick and Danielle tied the knot in a ceremony in 2022, he said that having three wives is 'like living a dream come true'.

“Having three wives, knowing that we’ve all solidified our union and brought it together like we have, it’s just unbelievable. I just feel like I’m just living a dream come true,” he said.

Danielle agreed, saying she didn't think she could ever 'be this happy'.

The family now keep their followers updated on Instagram, where they continue to share snaps of themselves living their 'dream'.
