Director Quentin Tarantino has revealed the movie soundtrack which is his favorite of all time.
When it comes to movie soundtracks, there's no shortage of stunning bits of work out there.
Whether you're a fan of breathtaking orchestral themes such as those from Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings, or perhaps films which use popular music such as American Werewolf in London.

Of course, soundtracks are far from confined to Hollywood, for example with Bollywood movies offering a huge wealth of iconic soundtracks.
Basically, there's a lot to choose from when it comes to music in movies.
Quentin Tarantino himself has used music in interesting ways in his own movies, with his choices of music often being a reflection of his own taste.

Now, the director has revealed which movie soundtrack is his favorite in an interview with Uncut.
In the interview, Tarantino chose his ten favourite records, which would of course have to include a movie soundtrack.
Tarantino selected a number of film soundtracks on his list, including Sisters, but there was one which he made very clear was his favorite.

In the case of the Kill Bill and Django Unchained director, this was the soundtrack for the movie Revenge.
Revenge is a thriller made in 1990 and directed by Tony Scott, whose other works include Top Gun and Days of Thunder.
Fans of Tarantino's work may also be familiar with Scott's name, as he was the director of True Romance, which Tarantino wrote.
The soundtrack was written by Jack Nitzsche, with Tarantino asserting that you don't even need to see the film to appreciate the music.

He said: “Out of all the soundtracks, this is the best. It’s from a Tony Scott movie – he directed True Romance – and it’s a very lush, elegant score.
"You don’t need to know the film to enjoy the soundtrack: It works in its own right.”
The movie follows fighter pilot Jay Cochran, played by Kevin Costner, after his retirement from the navy.

Cochran goes to visit his friend Tibey in Mexico where he meets his friend's wife Miryea.
As they get to know each other, the pair fall in love. Given that Miryea is not only married, but married to someone who is powerful in Mexico's criminal underworld this is definitely not a good idea.
It might have the approval of Tarantino for the soundtrack, but the movie itself proved unpopular with critics, scoring just 30 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
