Quentin Tarantino has an impressive resume of films, but what was thought to be his final directed flick may have been scrapped.
Tarantino has been delighting film fans for decades and many had hotly anticipated what was believed to be his final film, The Movie Critic.
However, according to reports, while the director had been preparing to start shooting the film this year, he has now binned the project.

Tarantino has previously spoken about what the film would have entailed and the familiar faces he would have had star in it.
The director revealed it would have been about a real-life film journalist for a 'porno rag' that he read growing up.
“He wrote about mainstream movies and he was the second-string critic," he said.
“I think he was a very good critic. He was as cynical as hell. His reviews were a cross between early Howard Stern and what Travis Bickle might be if he were a film critic.”

The film was expected to be set in 1977 Southern California and Brad Pitt was touted to star, marking his third time working with the director after Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
The reason behind pulling the film has not been made clear but according to a report by Deadline, Tarantino initially rewrote the script which pushed back production.
He eventually changed his mind and decided that the film would not go ahead, and is said to now be 'going back to the drawing board to figure out what that final movie will be'.

While many fans took to social media to declare their disappointment, many were pleased Tarantino is taking his time to release his final film.
“F***. But also, good that he isn’t pushing out something he isn’t feeling. End on a high note,” one X user wrote.
“I’m ok with that. I’m sure whatever Quentin Tarantino decides to make is going to be absolutely phenomenal. You can’t rush greatness,”another added.

“I was never excited about it, glad he might give us something else on Pulp Fiction level👀 I feel the same way about Martine Scorsese next 2 films, Jesus and Sinatra,” a critical fan wrote.
“Good! I’m glad he realised it wasn’t the magnum opus final he wanted to be know for as he gracefully bowed out,” a fourth wrote.
The flick is believed to be the latest the director has scrapped after he reportedly worked on an R-rated Star Trek movie that was also canned.
UNILAD has contacted representatives of Quentin Tarantino for comment.
