It doesn't look like Ryan Gosling will be inviting some Academy members to his Casa Mojo Dojo anytime soon.
Gosling, who starred as Ken in Barbie, received an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his scene-stealing performance in the hit 2023 movie.
His co-star America Ferrera has also been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Gloria, and the film itself has been nominated Best Picture.

But notably, Margot Robbie (Barbie) and director Greta Gerwig failed to receive nominations for Best Actress and Best Director.
This sparked outrage across the globe, with Gosling taking the time to pen a statement to the Academy.
Thanking them for the nomination, the dad-of-two went on: "There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film.

"No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius.
"To say that I’m disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement.
"Against all odds with nothing but a couple of soulless, scantily clad, and thankfully crotchless dolls, they made us laugh, they broke our hearts, they pushed the culture and they made history.
"Their work should be recognized along with the other very deserving nominees."

While he made his thoughts on the matter very clear, it turns out this version of the statement was actually 'heavily edited'.
Speaking to Variety, the actor said: "Look, I heavily edited that statement."
Giving the nod to how his character Ken would channel is aggression, Gosling continued: "I think if I say any more about it, I’m going to basically put on a mink and start challenging people to a beach-off on Malibu Beach."

Gushing about Barbie, he added: "In terms of people’s reactions, the film continues to provoke conversation in every incarnation.
"It keeps provoking this dialogue. It’s the power of this movie. I struggle to compare it to anything."
The Crazy, Stupid, Love star further hailed the movie as 'a great work of art' and 'more than a summer blockbuster'.

While Gosling and Barbie fans across the world are aggrieved that Robbie was snubbed from this year's nominations, the I, Tonya star isn't having an existential crisis over it.
"There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed," she said on the matter.
"Obviously, I think Greta should be nominated as a director, because what she did is a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing, what she pulled off, it really is.
"But it’s been an incredible year for all the films."
The Oscars are set to take place on March 10 and will be hosted at the Dolby Theatre.
