If you thought the voice of Scream's 'Ghostface' sounded pretty familiar, there is probably a good reason for it.
Scream is a massive franchise at this point and to some, it is certainly one of the best slasher films out there.
But one of the aspects of the film that makes the many flicks so frightening is Ghostface, and for obvious reasons... he is the one running around with a knife after all.

But one thing that makes him truly terrifying is the voice.
While many people have donned the Ghostface mask in the franchise, one thing that always sends chills down the spine is the menacing voice.
The person that brings the character to life is Roger L. Jackson. Does the name not ring a bell? Trust me, you have likely enjoyed much of his work over the years.

The star has been voicing characters in movies, cartoons and video games for decades. For the latter, he even occasionally voices the Ghostface character if they are in the game.
But if you listen carefully, the reason he sounds familiar is because Jackson is also the man behind the iconic Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls.
If you listen to the many threats Ghostface makes throughout the Scream films, you can now hear the similarities.

Despite Jackson voicing both characters for years, many people have taken to social media to remark at how they never noticed it was the same voice actor.
“Literally didn't know this, always assumed it was done by that voice device thingy,” one user on X said, as another wrote: “I actually never heard of this one!!"
“Roger Jackson, The Voice of Ghostface from the 'Scream' films is also the voice of Mojo Jojo. How did I not know this?!?” another surprised fan wrote.

“Finding out that Ghostface and Mojo Jojo are the same guy is genuinely shocking to me,” a fourth person commented.
“My mind has broken! I just found out that Roger L. Jackson, the voice of Ghostface in the Scream franchise, also plays Mojo Jojo from Power Puff Girls… I can’t,” commented another.
"I just can’t. It doesn’t help that Will is asking me what my favorite scary movie is in his Mojo Jojo impression."
For fans that have known that Jackson voices the character, he has previously said Mojo Jojo is often one of the characters he is often requested to do.

Would likely only make things better if he did the Mojo Jojo voice with the Ghostface dialogue, just a thought...
