Saturday Night Live's 50th anniversary special saw Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively allude to the ongoing legal battle between them It Ends With Us director and star Justin Baldoni.
Saturday Night Live first premiered as NBC's Saturday Night on October 11, 1975 and so to mark the occasion of the show turning 50, it put on a three-hour special last night (February 16).
While bringing back a whole host of former cast members from Eddie Murphy to Kate McKinnon, the show also saw appearances from the likes of Adam Sandler, Miley Cyrus and, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds and Gossip Girl's Blake Lively.
The evening was kicked off by Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter with a rendition of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Homeward Bound' (1966) before a sneak preview into the rest of the musical acts expected across the night.

Steve Martin then took to the stage with a monologue, later joined by John Mulaney and Martin Short before shortly being followed by an opening sketch by Kristen Wiig as Dooneese.
Cue the iconic 'Black Jeopardy' sketch and a reflection on the best physical comedy moments on the show from Sally O'Malley and Poor Things' Emma Stone alongside a side-splitting rendition of Wicked's version of 'Defying Gravity'.
You'd think that would be action-packed enough already, but then came an audience Q&A led by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler which saw Reynolds rise from his seat to quiz the hosts.
Reynolds was asked how he's been by Fey, to which he responded: "Why? What have you heard?"

Reynolds' response was met with a sharp look in his direction from Lively, her smile dropping, seemingly adding to the quip.
Indeed, unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have heard Reynolds and Lively have been at the center of a legal battle with Lively's It Ends with Us co-star Baldoni.
In December, Lively filed a lawsuit against her co-star - Baldoni also a director on the movie - accusing him of sexual harassment and taken part in a campaign to try and destroy her reputation, alongside causing her 'severe emotional distress'.

Baldoni denied the accusations and later filed his own $400 million lawsuit, the actor's team even creating a website detailing the lawsuit and allegations.
A judge has since set a trial date for the legal battle with lawyers warned to be prepared to address complaints about pretrial publicity and lawyer conduct.
