The son of Snow White's producer has ranted that Rachel Zegler's 'personal politics' ruined the success of the live-action remake.
Jonah Platt, the son of producer Marc Platt, slammed the 23-year-old actress as an 'immature' narcissist in a now-deleted rant on Instagram after the Disney live-action remake seemingly flopped at the box office.
The movie currently sits at a disappointing 42 percent on Rotten Tomatoes after a bleak opening weekend amassed $87 million - a drop in the ocean against its $270 million budget - and still hasn't passed the $100 million mark after playing in theatres for almost a week.
However, Jonah suggested it was Zegler's political comments on Twitter that turned audiences off.

The comments come as a bombshell report in Variety revealed his 67-year-old father flew out to New York to speak to Zegler about her social media posts, which include support for Palestine amid the conflict with Israel and criticism for US President Donald Trump.
The offending content in question was reportedly a tweet she posted after sharing Snow White's official trailer where she wrote, 'And always remember, free Palestine.'
Sources in the report claim not only are production executives blaming Zegler for the movie's poor performance at the box office, but for exposing Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress who plays Evil Queen in the movie, to a flood of death threats.

In response to the news, a commenter asked Jonah on Instagram: "Your dad flew to NYC to reprimand a young actress?"
"Any words on this? Cuz that’s creepy as hell and uncalled for. People have the right to free speech no? Shame on your father," they added, which prompted Jonah into a wild rant.
"You really want to do this?" Jonah began.
"Yeah, my dad, the producer of enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicity for."

Jonah, who is the brother of actor Ben Platt and is a host on the 'Being Jewish' podcast, also made it clear that he felt the actress' comments hampered the success of the film.
"This is called adult responsibility and accountability. And her actions clearly hurt the film's box office," he added.
"Free speech does not mean you're allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions.

"Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of all the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful. Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged."

The Marc Webb-directed remake of the legendary 1937 animation, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, has been plagued by controversy since it was announced that the star - born to Colombian and Polish parents - was cast as the Disney princess.
The Golden Globe winner was subject to intense racist backlash as some slammed the decision to cast a woman of Latinx heritage into the role - and as she called the original animation 'dated' and 'weird.'

Meanwhile, viewers pledged to boycott the movie because of Gadot's role, who also served in the Israel Defense Force.
Disney also had its fair share of criticism after it decided not to cast real life people with dwarfism.
UNILAD has contacted Zegler's reps for comment.
