An Amazon Prime drama with 93 percent ratings has been praised by the King of Horror himself.
Stephen King's very own Amazon Prime series has not long landed; an adaptation of his 2019 novel, The Institute. But the author has been a longtime admirer of the platform’s original dramas, including this dystopian series which left him slack-jawed.
Another Prime TV series seriously impressed King - and critics, it seems, who awarded it impressive ratings across all three of its seasons.

Having run between 2019 and 2021, the show stars Esme Creed-Miles as a teenage girl raised in the wild and trained as an assassin by her father Erik Heller (Joel Kinnaman).
But everything the girl thought she knew about herself is questioned when rogue CIA agent Marissa Wiegler hunts her down.

The series in question is called Hanna, based on the 2011 movie of the same name.

Taking to Twitter, King said of the series: "HANNA (Amazon Prime) is really smart and entertaining."
In another post, he added: "I really enjoyed HANNA... The middle episodes were a little too heavy on the teen angst, but it was great to see Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman together again."
The duo had previously worked together on AMC crime drama The Killing, between 2011 and 2014 as they co-starred as homicide detectives Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder.
Another social media user wrote: "Just binge watched Hanna on prime and oh my Jesus it's really so good. It's my kind of tv show."

A second agreed: "Hanna on Prime is fire. 10/10 recommend. Quick binge and v suspenseful."
Meanwhile, Rotten Tomatoes critics scored Hanna 80 percent across its three seasons, with its second instalment earning an impressive 93 percent.
Critics said of the show's highest-scoring season: "Stronger action and better balance help Hanna's second season slip into a deadly, diverting groove."

They described the first season as a 'gritty reimagining' of the movie but said the story takes a while to get going and requires some patience.
The discussion continued over on Reddit, where one fan declared: "The TV show Hanna is an underrated gem.
"I think when you cut out the CIA drama... and really look at each relationship that’s where the show excels beyond anything I’ve seen before.
"It’s unique and one of a kind in my opinion. Rare."

Many were in agreement, but some cautioned that the third season loses its charm.
All three seasons of Hanna are streaming now on Amazon Prime.
