Micucci went on to say her diagnosis was unexpected, though it was very fortunate it was caught early.
"It’s really weird, because I’ve never smoked a cigarette in my life. So, you know, it was a surprise. But also I guess, it happens and the greatest news is they caught it early, they got it out, I’m all good," she added.
Like the actor said, lung cancer is often associated with smokers, however, research does show that lung cancer diagnosis' have risen in non-smokers in recent years, especially in women.
The American Cancer Society states that secondhand smoke, pollution, family history and other factors can contribute to a lung cancer diagnosis.

She said: "I had one thing in my bloodwork that came back really high. So I went to a preventative doc who did a few scans. He scanned my heart and that’s where the spot in my lung was noticed."
While she may have gone through a terrible ordeal, Miccuci is planning to return to work as soon as possible.
