A trailer for Amber Heard's new thriller has been released.
In The Fire is one of only two movies that feature Heard since her highly publicized defamation trial against Johnny Depp.
She was already slated to appear in the Aquaman sequel due to having a fairly big role as Jason Momoa's on-screen love interest.

However, in 2022, before her trial against her ex-husband began, the actor was also announced as a cast member for Conor Allyn's American-Italian film.
Heard plays Grace Burnham in the movie and is joined on screen by Eduardo Noriega, Lorenzo McGovern Zaini, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci.
The plot for In The Fire has been described as: "A doctor from New York (Heard) travels to a remote plantation in the 1890s to care for a disturbed boy who seems to have inexplicable abilities.

"She begins treating the child, but in doing so ignites a war of science versus religion with the local priest (Noriega) who believes the boy is possessed by the Devil and is the reason for all the village's woes.
The film had its premiere at the Taormina Film Festival in June earlier this year and it seems fans were thrilled to see her.
Calvani told Variety at the event: “I was relieved to see how they shouted for her. After all the stuff being yelled online at this beautiful human being."
Amber explained to outlet that the movie is a 'a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century'.

“I feel honored to be part of this labor of love and to be the lead in [director] Conor Allyn’s vision,” she said.
"“I feel lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing cast.
"They’re as dedicated and magical as the characters they play.”
