A contestant on Wheel of Fortune left viewers shouting at their TVs after making a small but devastating error on a question.
Many of us have made simple errors like this, but unfortunately for competitor Rasheda, her gaffe was broadcast out on the popular TV quiz.
Rasheda had opted to solve the word puzzle on the board in the category 'showbiz'.

So far so good, she was then presented with the sentence to solve.
The contestant had to fill in the gap on a sentence to get the correct answer.
As for the sentence itself, it was '_ _ _ _ A _ _ _. _ ORDAN STARS _ N _ R _ _ D.'
Fans of a certain Rocky spin-off, as well as Black Panther and The Wire will already know that the answer is 'Michael B. Jordan stars in Creed.'

Unfortunately, Rasheda made a simple error that cost her the question.
Instead of answering with 'Michael B. Jordan', she said that the actor's name was 'Michael P. Jordan'.
And needless to say plenty of people were left flabbergasted by the near miss and took to social media to share their disbelief.

One wrote: "I know this lady on Wheel Of Fortune didn't just say 'Michael P. Jordan Stars In Creed.' I am devastated for her."
Others shared the same sentiment with one posting "MICHAEL P JORDAN?!? HOW DO YOU F**K THAT UP?!?", while another wrote: "This lady just said Michael P. Jordan…"
Another joked: "Who is Michael P. Jordan?!"
One person commented on what everyone was thinking, writing: "We are all wondering how she missed that."

Jordan played Wallace in the first season of the critically acclaimed HBO show The Wire, which while being a small role, had a marked influence on the story.
He would go on to play Johnny Storm / The Human Torch in 2015's Fantastic Four.
In 2018, Jordan would play antagonist Erik Killmonger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Panther.

There is a possible explanation for Rasheda's slip, and it's to do with linguistics and phonetics.
In English, the sounds for 'P' and 'B' are actually very similar phonetically.
They're made using the same part of the mouth and the same outward motion, with only a subtle difference distinguishing them.
Go ahead and try it now if you don't believe me.
Given the similarity, it's maybe not that surprising that someone might get the two sounds mixed up if they're out of context, especially if they're under pressure.
Small comfort, I know.
