Patricia Allison, who plays Ola in the Netflix hit Sex Education, has said she won't be returning to the show.
That's right, we still aren't over Stranger Things 4 coming to an end, and now we've found out Ola won't be in the next series of Sex Education.
We mean, honestly, just twist the dagger in further, Netflix.
Still, we understand that actors aren't always going to stay in one role, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.

Patricia made the revelation in an interview with Capital Xtra, telling hosts Yinka and Shayna-Marie that she was excited about new opportunities.
"I absolutely have loved being on Sex Education so so much, and playing Ola but unfortunately, I won’t be joining the team for season four," the actor said.
"I’m so sorry to have to break that to you guys but I’m just going to be doing some other little things, some other opportunities have come up. So, I’ve been doing it for three years and I’ve, like, genuinely loved it."

"I love the show," she said – don't we all – but added that she had to 'say goodbye some time which is kind of sad. But other things are coming'.
Here's hoping we'll see Patricia in an incredible new role soon, but we'll be sad to see her go.
Her character, Ola, has been part of the series since season one episode four, introduced as Jakob's (Mikael Persbrandt) daughter, who ends up living with, and briefly dating, central character Otis (Asa Butterfield). Given their living situation and the fact that their parents were dating, it wasn't entirely surprising it didn't work out.

Thankfully, the awkwardness didn't last long, because Ola soon met Lily (Tanya Reynolds), the alien lover with incredible hair.
Seriously, they might've been our favourite couple in series three, aside from Eric (Ncuti Gatwa) and Adam Groff (Connor Swindells).
While we're unsure where Patricia's departure leaves Ola and Lily, we understand her moving on.
Other cast members from the hit show have gone on to do some pretty incredible things. Ncuti Gatwa, for example, was recently announced as the next Doctor Who, taking over from Jodie Whittaker.

Meanwhile, Simone Ashely, who plays Olivia, went on to star in Bridgerton.
So, we might not be seeing Patrica in Sex Education, but that doesn't mean she won't be back on our screens soon.
