Guess who's back. Back again. Samantha Jones is making a comeback. Tell your friends.
Multiple sources have confirmed to Variety and the New York Post that Kim Cattrall will step back into the glamorous shoes of fan favorite Samantha Jones for one night only.
It is understood Cattrall will make an appearance in the season two finale of And Just Like That, Max’s reboot of HBO’s Sex and the City.

Variety reports Samantha will return for one scene in the wake of the season one cliffhanger that saw Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, text her former friend with the pair agreeing to reconcile.
As per Variety's sources, Cattrall shot her scene on March 22 in New York.
The 66-year-old actor filmed her lines without seeing or speaking with her former co-stars of Sex and the City.
She was dressed by Sex And The City's iconic costume designer Patricia Field for the scene.

Field has not so far worked on And Just Like That.
An in-the-know source told the New York Post that the Max reboot intends to drop a 10-episode second instalment, split into two parks,
The second season comes with the tagline 'new beginnings are in season', which feels rather apt.
"The fact that they’re keeping it very hush-hush says that there’s some implication that she might be coming back — not this season, but it’s definitely a cliffhanger that’s gonna get people to come back for season three," an insider told The Post of Cattrall’s cameo.

A third season of And Just Like That has not yet been confirmed.
The update is likely to come as welcome news for Sex and the City fans, after Cattrall, was absent from season one of the follow up series after she and Sarah Jessica Parker infamously feuded in real life.
Cattrall had refused to take part in And Just Like That, but thankfully writers didn't simply kill off Samantha Jones.
Nope, the show documented that Carrie and Samantha had a major row after Bradshaw fired Jones as her publicist.

As per season one, Jones shook off the shackles of New York and relocated for a new life in London.
An insider told the Mail Online before the first season of the reboot aired: "We have high hopes that by the time we begin filming the second season, Kim will have joined the show and Samantha Jones can make a triumphant return to the Big Apple."
They added: "We want Kim back. She was missed on set. We all understand why she feels the way she does. We get it. We just want her to come back for future seasons."
Well, it looks like the original baddie is making a triumphant return to the Big Apple.

And just like that, I couldn't help but wonder if she'll stick around and see how things pan out.
