It's a happy day for Star Wars fans as season three of The Mandalorian has just begun and a more than two-year long wait for more Mandalorian content is over.
With that in mind, some Star Wars fans are sending out warnings to casual viewers who might be confused at what's going on in The Mandalorian if they've not been keeping up with the other Disney Plus shows.

Season three of The Mandalorian sees Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and the adorable Grogu reunited and flying around in a new ship after season two saw the Razorcrest destroyed and Luke Skywalker take the child to be trained as a Jedi.

You might then be wondering why we're suddenly seeing them back together in a new ship when they very clearly parted ways in a dramatic and heartbreaking fashion.
The answers lie in a few episodes of another Disney+ show, The Book of Boba Fett, which basically paused its own story halfway through to become The Mandalorian season 2.5.
Episodes five, six and seven of The Book of Boba Fett catch us up on what Din Djarin has been getting up to, showing him getting a shiny new ship (actually a souped-up old Naboo Starfighter from The Phantom Menace) and getting Grogu back.

If you've not watched those episodes ahead of The Mandalorian season three you'd probably be pretty confused as to why the season two ending seems to have been ignored.
Star Wars fans have been doing their duty to warn more casual viewers that they've got homework to get through to make The Mandalorian make sense.
They explained that if you want to be 'caught up on what our boys Din and Grogu have been doing' you really will need to watch the final three Boba Fett episodes.
Someone else joked that maybe Boba Fett would get his revenge for Din Djarin hijacking his show and become the main character by the end while Mando gets 'alarmingly minimal screen time'.

The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau has explained that Din and Grogu's adventures have been going on for a while now and they actually spent a couple of years apart between the end of season two and their reunion in The Book of Boba Fett.
Speaking of Star Wars fans, Pedro Pascal has had to ask them not to request he do his voice from the show.
He said he thinks it's 'creepy' in real life and more like a 'bedroom' voice than anything else.

He explained: “People come up to me and ask me to do the voice for their kids, but I think it sounds inappropriate because it is a breathy, low register ‘bedroom’ voice – it is so creepy and doesn’t work in real life."
He also admitted that he 'can't see s**t' in his helmet because he's got such a narrow field of vision and his breath fogs it up from the inside.
Season three of The Mandalorian is streaming on Disney+, new episodes are released on Wednesdays.
