The Ted TV series seems to be winning over both new and old fans of Seth MacFarlane’s Family Guy and has been praised for being hilarious.
Whether you like it or not, Family Guy has certainly made an impact on comedy and television and, at this point, is undeniably popular.
The creator behind it, Seth MacFarlane, also saw success with his 2012 movie Ted. In fact, that might be quite the understatement as the flick, led by actor Mark Wahlberg, was one of the highest-grossing films of the year.

Ted is essentially about Wahlberg’s character John needing to grow up despite still hanging out with his foul-mouthed bad influence anthropomorphic teddy bear.
The Ted sequel, which was released in 2015, wasn’t as well received but it showed there was still appetite for the character.
Well, those fans have had their prayers answered with the Peacock Original Ted mini-series prequel.
The show’s synopsis reads: “It's 1993, and Ted the bear's moment of fame has passed. He's living back home with his best friend, John Bennett, and his family. While Ted may be a lousy influence on John, he's a loyal pal who will go out on a limb for friendship.”

Released on the streaming platform on January 11, fans already can’t get enough and have claimed it is just as good as some of MacFarlane’s best work with Family Guy.
One user wrote: "I have started watching the Ted series. And I gotta say its REALLY good. Like early Family Guy good."
Another added: “Well, I just watched the entire first season of Ted. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It gave me that same feeling I used to get when watching the early seasons of Family Guy."

While a third commented: "The Ted series. Everything you remember enjoying about Family Guy from your youth, without the excessive cutaways."
Although a few social media users have not been a fan of the similarities to Family Guy, the show has already proved to be impressively popular.
After just three days, the show was able to clinch the spot of Peacock's most watched original series.
While official numbers are yet to be released, it has shown that MacFarlane still seems to know exactly how to appeal to his audience and leave them in hysterics.

There is no official confirmation about a second season for the show but MacFarlane hasn’t ruled it out if there is enough appetite from fans.
He told The Wrap: "I think we felt after Ted 2 that maybe the appetite for Ted in that forum was not quite as ravenous as it was after the first movie. So I don’t know, there would have to be a reason to do it.
"There has to be an audience for something like this. You don’t want to just keep rehashing the same character if no one’s watching. I guess there’s a lot of that today anyway, but it’s not really our first order of business, there really has to be an appetite.”

While showrunner Brad Walsh admitted they were 'certainly open to it'.
