Eagle-eyed Avengers fans have spotted an extra who really lived up to the name in the background of one scene.
For those unfamiliar with the role of an extra, they’re basically supposed to blend right into the background, while also giving a bit of realism to a scene.
And then there’s this extra, in the striped top, who went above and beyond during a scene in The Avengers - check it out:
The Avengers saw the planet’s finest superheroes, including Iron Man, Hawkeye, Captain America, Black Widow, battling against Loki and his alien army who were trying to enslave humanity.

And, given that the flick spawned three sequels, I think we know how that panned out.
The 2012 movie had more stars than the Milky Way with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner all playing major roles.
But even that impressive cast list was no match for the scene-stealing extra who popped up just as the world was being invaded by aliens.

I mean, to be fair - they’re supposed to be literally running for her life, so I can see why she’s getting a move on.
However, the clip has recently resurfaced online and a whole host of new people are seeing it for the first time and finding it absolutely hilarious.
Responding to the clip on Twitter, one person wrote: “You already know she was going for that bonus pay check with sprinting like that.”
Another said: “She should have gotten stunt double money with that pace.” Good point, well made.

While a third added: “Honestly that was the one extra who understood the assignment.”
Yep. How else are you supposed to respond to an alien invasion? Casual trot? Slow amble? I think not.
A fourth person - quite rightly - pointed out: “Most realistic reaction in the MCU.”

This isn’t the first time our hardworking extra has gone viral, either.
In a Reddit post dedicated to her from a couple of years back, one fan wrote: “That’s some quality running right there. Give that background actor an Oscar - ‘Most convincing haul-a** in a Drama or Comedy’.”
I could not agree more - they were absolutely robbed.
And someone else commented: "I mean, if I saw an alien army pop out of a hole in the sky, I’d haul a** too.” Well, yeah, it’s hard to argue with that.
