Fans think a crew member on The Boys has teased a shocking scene is coming our way in season four, following a mysterious tweet from the show’s visual effects supervisor.
The Amazon Prime show has become known – and widely loved – for its X-rated moments, with superhero orgies and THAT graphic exploding penis scene in the last season alone.
But it seems we may have plenty more to come, with Stephan Fleet tweeting to say that he’d been emotionally scarred by something he’d just witnessed.

Fleet, who serves as VFX supervisor and associate producer on the show, tweeted to say: “My eyes can't unsee what I just saw right now.”
He wasn’t giving much away, but many fans took the cryptic post as their warning for season four, with one commenting: “Ah yeah, season 4’s gonna be a good one already.”
Someone else said: “Here we go again.”

A third wrote: “This show been graphic ever since day 1 especially last season with termite and his buddy. I can only imagine what you guys are doing now.”
A fourth added: “That kind of mystery shouldn't get me excited for season 4 but here we are. I cannot wait.”
One other person even went as far as to drum up ideas to ‘top’ last series’ most shocking moment, writing: “My gutter mind trying to think of what could possibly top that scene from last season... Homelander milking something? The Deep checking out a [whale] blowhole?”

Here's hoping it wasn't just a flying pig whizzing past his window, eh?
While filming has started on the fourth season, it’s likely we’ll have a bit of a wait on our hands to find out the horrors that have been permanently etched on Fleet’s retinas as there’s currently no release date after the last series aired in July.
Of course, a bit of healing time might be no bad thing for traumatised viewers, who tuned in to the first episode of the latest season to find Termite (Brian Geddes) shrinking himself down to venture inside a man’s penis – only to sneeze in the middle of his voyage, prompting him to suddenly return to his full size while still in the bloke’s manhood, to very messy effect.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, showrunner Eric Kripke insisted that the surreal 'crawling-into-a-urethra' sequence was not just an attempt to outdo the ridiculousness of any previous moments.
“We really try hard not to get into the game of ‘How do we top ourselves?’” he said.
“I think that’s a trap. You’ll end up with something that’s too bloated, or more importantly, insincere. We always say, ‘Don’t go bigger; go deeper.’ In that case, literally. What new facet of the character can we reveal, or of the world? This ongoing notion of ‘What would happen if you took superpowers, which are ridiculous, and put them in the real world?’

"If you had an Ant-Man power, those types of situations would ultimately happen.”
Laughing, he continued: “I think way more about how to keep ratcheting up character conflict and stakes and reveal more about who these people are. I worry about that a lot. I worry about the size of the set pieces almost never.”
