A scene from The Boys being so disgusting that fans are talking about it is nothing new.
Though a scene from The Boys being so disgusting it has been heavily censored in other countries might be a new one for many viewers.
With a new season of The Boys comes a new *that* scene.
Last season, it was either the d*ck exploding scene or the superpowered orgy in ‘Herogasm’, depending on who you asked (that sentence could only be said about The Boys might I add).

But this season the one scene to have got everyone talking so far is an X-rated scene parodying a truly disgusting horror movie – which in itself is one of the most grim movies of all time.
It took place in episode two, released last week, when Frenchie and Kimiko walk in on a new character called Splinter.
Splinter can create clones of himself, so obviously – being The Boys – he uses it to human centipede style create a chain of a*s eating.

Again. Only a sentence that could be said about The Boys.
Fans, understandably, were mixed in their reactions – between finding it hilarious and utterly disgusting.
It is clear which camp those who make the decisions on what is censored in India fell on that spectrum however, as it has now come out that the scene has been heavily censored.
In India, those watching the scene would – rather than seeing a superpowered chain of men – just simply see Splinter hunched over masturbating on his own in a sauna.

I don’t personally see how that is better, but that’s the decision India’s censors have made.
This was noticed by a Rotten Tomatoes verified film critic called Pramit, who posted the edited scene on X (formerly known as Twitter).
He pointed out that, by removing the context, whilst it may seem benign – a joke later in the episode about Splinter having pink eye makes no sense.

He went on to say: “re: full frontal nudity, the censorship was egregious in The Boys season 3 & Gen V. but in season 4, there is full frontal nudity.”
Whilst this may be news to us, Pramit went on to say that the Herogasm scene in season three was entirely blurred or cut from The Boys.
Despite other scenes showing full nudity in the Indian version, clearly a human centipeding chain of superpowered self-gratification was too far for censors.

One last time. Only. In. The Boys.
