The first critical reviews for The Flash are flooding in, with some claiming that the DC movie is ‘one of the best superhero films of all time’.
It’s unbelievable to think that it was way back in October 2014 when Warner Bros. first announced that there would be a Flash movie heading to cinema screens.
Despite endless delays, a myriad of directors, and controversial actions allegedly committed by lead actor Ezra Miller, the project is due to finally get its theatrical release this summer.

The official synopsis for the forthcoming movie reads: “Worlds collide in The Flash when Barry (Miller) uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past.
“But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod (Michael Shannon) has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to.

“That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian… albeit not the one he’s looking for.”
So, while you’ll be able to see The Scarlet Speedster on the big screen in just a matter of months, CinemaCon goers and film critics alike have already had their first look at the forthcoming DC tentpole.
On Tuesday evening, there was an exclusive viewing of The Flash held at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.

Speaking about the CinemaCon audience reaction, Rick Roman, a Kentucky-based exhibitor said: “The audience loved it. I thought it was very good - lots of humour. [It was] emotional at the end with some people crying…. This movie will have legs since people will see it more than once.”
Deadline’s chief film critic Pete Hammond wrote: “It is a dazzling trip through time as the DC universe indeed flashes before our eyes. Not just a great addition to DC but a wild and surprising tribute to what came before. A triumph for Ezra and Keaton's return.”
