As per Twitter user Luis Fernando, The Flash crossed the $200 million mark globally in its second weekend at the box office.
But James Gunn shouldn’t celebrate just yet, as the film has seen a 72 per cent drop at the US box office, leading the studio to lose $200 million possibly.
Ah, the lord giveth and the lord taketh away.

With a marketing campaign reportedly costing $150 million and a $190 million production budget, Fernando claims that The Flash may go down as a huge flop.
There are many questions looming as to why the film is a failure.
However, many are largely pointing the finger at the movie’s lead, Ezra Miller, who has been at the centre of controversy over the past few months.
In August 2022, Rolling Stone reported that Miller was charged with felony burglary.

Miller was accused of stealing liquor bottles from an empty home while its residents were out.
On January 13, 2023, Miller pleaded guilty to trespassing, and the court approved their plea a day later.
They were also charged with assault in Hawaii after reportedly throwing a chair at a 26-year-old woman in April 2022.
Later that year, Native American activists Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle also issued a temporary restraining order against Miller on behalf of their daughter, 18-year-old Tokata Iron Eyes.

The parents said the actor groomed their daughter for six years, leading to physical and verbal abuse, as per Vanity Fair.
The parents allege that Miller first met Tokata at a protest to save the Dakota Access Pipeline when she was 12, and they were 23.
In February, Miller reportedly met a mother and her 11-year-old child, who also uses the pronouns they/them.
The mother told Business Insider that the Perks of Being a Wallflower actor showed ‘inappropriate interest’ in her child, asking for their Instagram handle and offering to pay for their tuition.

The mother was granted a temporary harassment-protection order against Miller.
