The first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance has dropped.
Tom Hardy is set to once again take to the screens as the parasite-plagued antihero. Take a look:
It was 2018 when the star first took on the role of Eddie Brock, the journalist by day who transforms into the monstrous Venom.

The movie saw the origins of Venom as a parasite took over Brock's body, initially forcing him to meet its needs or be devoured before the pair develop a more symbiotic relationship.
After grossing some $856 million worldwide, this was followed by Venom: Let There Be Carnage in 2021, which drew in $502 million worldwide.
The sequel introduced the supervillain Carnage into the mix, the long-time antagonist to Venom.
Now, the upcoming sequel Venom: The Last Dance is set to be released on October 25 this year.

Tom Hardy will reprise his starring role as Eddie Brock / Venom, and will reportedly be joined by a cast including Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.
Sony initially confirmed the second sequel was at CinemaCon in 2022 on the tails of the first two films' success.
Hardy has previously hinted that the third film will be the last solo outing for the character.

Speaking to Digital Spy in 2021, the actor said: "These things [usually] come in threes. I think it's really important, if you go into something, thinking that one, two and three are the same...the same story, the same film.
"So that you don't surprise yourself by being caught out by suddenly having to do a third from nowhere."
He added: "There's got to be some continuity into a third and fourth and fifth, and if somebody says 'no', that's fine. Let it go, and you move on to something else."

Nonetheless, there are rumours circulating that Venom could make an appearance in the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This was seemingly teased in a mid-credits scene of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, when they are transported suddenly to a universe where J Jonah Jameson can be seen revealing Spiderman's identity as Peter Parker.
This could hint that the character will take on his role as an antagonist of Spiderman in future films starring Tom Holland in the title role.
For the moment however, the only thing set in stone is that the third film with Venom in a solo outing is set to come out this October.
