The first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter Quidditch Champions video game just dropped - but a lot of people are raising the same point.
Harry Potter Quidditch Champions joins a long line of Harry Potter games and it's not the latest addition to the franchise.
Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world role-playing game, was released in 2023, and boy, was it successful—making $850 million in its first two weeks.

No wonder Warner Bros wanted to make it a long-term franchise.
But while you had access to fly your trusty broom around the hallowed grounds of Hogwarts, you couldn't play Quidditch - thank Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black for that.
So you can only imagine the hype when the first trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions dropped on July 29.

The game is being developed by Unbroken Studios while being published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label - which has published a few Wizarding World games in the past.
According to the game's website, players can expect to 'immerse themselves in the enchanting world of Quidditch by playing solo or sharing the magic with friends and family'.
You can either play as one of the franchise characters - like Harry Potter or Draco Malfoy - or create your own Quidditch Champion to take your team to victory and win the Quidditch World Cup.
However, while it has got some people excited enough to head to Diagon Alley to cop their own Nimbus 2024, many have expressed the same criticism.

“Shouldn’t this just be a part of Hogwarts Legacy,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Why isn’t this Hogwarts Legacy DLC?,” another simply commented.
While someone else said it 'should just be an add on for Legacy or even a Fortnite crossover'.

“Make it DLC for Hogwart’s Legacy & we’re getting somewhere,” a third commented.
A fourth said they should've 'used the same engine and graphics as Hogwarts Legacy though and tied the two games together with a second Hogwarts Legacy'.
While others remarked that it would have a big act to follow with 2003’s Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup game, as many consider this game to be one of the best... at least Harry Potter games.
The standard and deluxe editions of game is expected to drop on September 3, 2024, while the Physical Deluxe Edition will be available on November 8, 2024.
