Canadian musician Grimes has divided opinion online after she posted a tweet saying she is ‘more attracted to people less autistic’.
The songwriter, whose real name is Claire Boucher, has had an on and off relationship with Twitter head honcho and Tesla CEO Elon Musk for many years now.
The pair made their red carpet debut in 2018, shortly after reports of their relationship surfaced.

But since then, it has been a bit of a rollercoaster for the duo, as many question whether they are actually together.
Despite all the uncertainty surrounding their relationship, Musk and Grimes actually have two kids together - one-year old Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, and two-year-old X AE A-XII Musk.
In 2020, Grimes revealed what it was like to date Musk in an interview with Rolling Stone, explaining: "No one believes me about this, but I just did not understand what I was getting into at all.

"Not that I’m mad about it. I just didn’t think it would be a thing.
"The s*** that’s happened with my boyfriend this year has overwritten so much of my life’s work."
Together or not, Grimes recently made the headlines for a tweet she posted talking about who she is attracted to.
In the now deleted tweet, she wrote: "I feel like something about the way we approach aging is wrong.

"I feel a lot happier, prettier, more creative in my 30s, more attracted to people less autistic.
"I know technically cells are supposed to die and fertility near end? But doesn't feel that way."
The line that has certainly garnered a lot of attention online is the 'autistic' part, with many left divided over it.

The tweet has since been posted to Reddit, where people have been debating as to whether Grimes was missing a good old fashion comma from her post.
Of course, the tweet would have a very different meaning from that.
"Am I wrong for reading it like 'more attracted to people, less autistic' like she’s feeling less autistic herself?" one person wrote.

"There’s nothing wrong with being autistic and she is hot garbage for saying that," another said, before adding: "I’m re-reading the tweet and she might have missed the comma and meant that she feels more attracted to people and feeling less autistic herself."
Meanwhile, others suggested that Grimes may have meant 'artistic' instead of 'autistic', with the musician falling victim to a typo.
Either way, it seems we are never going to find out what Grimes really meant unless she comes out and clarifies.
