Some people are wondering if one of Jesse Rutherford's new songs is about his ex-girlfriend Billie Eilish after the singer attracted some backlash.
Eilish and Rutherford broke up in May after dating for less than a year, with the split described as amicable and the pair said to 'remain good friends'.
They'd gone public as a couple in November 2022 following some speculation that they were seeing each other.

The 21-year-old Eilish had previously described 31-year-old Rutherford as 'the hottest f**king f**ker alive', and while their relationship might have come to an end later, perhaps more people need to describe their partners in those exact words.
After the split, Eilish said she wasn't dating anyone else and described Rutherford as 'my homie forever' while her representatives denied any rumors of cheating from either side of the relationship.
However the recent release of a song from Rutherford titled 'POV' has had some of his fans wondering if the lyrics are about the relationship as there's been a bit of a backlash to a segment of the song.

"Feel like Alejandro when she Gaga on my goo, I'm at the top, you're at the bottom, It's a different POV," went the lyrics of the segment of the song people thought were about Eilish.
"Polo socks, in my Docs and the top is CDG. Got a watch on my shoulder, heart up on my sleeve. And they told me it was over, I'ma disagree.
"She been listening to me since 2013, I know she's got daddy issues, welcome to the family. She said: 'Jesse, baby, won't you write a song about me?'
"I said: 'I got a whole album, I could drop it next week.'

"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Shorty come with me, watch your money get longer. Turn into an all-star in a pair of Converse. Blew up by myself, I feel like the Unabomber."
A number of listeners who assumed the song was about Eilish took against the 'she been listening to me since 2013' line.
One listener called it 'disturbing' while another wrote 'pack it up sir immediately' and a third claimed that Rutherford was 'mad Billie ended him'.

Of course, it's pure speculation that the song is about Eilish.
But even among those who didn't think the song was about his ex plenty of people got the ick anyway.
Someone said 'the unabomber line is crazy' while quite a lot seemed very put off by the 'when she Gaga on my goo' lyric.
Another listener just seemed to think the tune was subpar, saying Rutherford 'cooked unseasoned ramen with those lyrics', which is apparently not a compliment.
