Billie Eilish has opened up about the downsides of shooting to stardom at such a young age.
The singer rose to fame at the age of 14 following the release of her single 'Ocean Eyes'. Now, at the age of 22, the 'bad guy' hitmaker is still at the top of her game.
in a recent conversation with Lana Del Rey for Interview Magazine, Eilish discussed what it's been like growing up and changing as a person in the public eye.

She said: "It’s so weird to grow up and change in front of the world.
"The craziest part is discovering things about myself and then suddenly, everyone else knows, and I don’t even have a second to think about how it makes me feel."
Del Ray empathized with Eilish, though she did offer a different perspective on the situation.

"The one good part I can tell you is that some of the things I heard said about me, I was able to use to my advantage later... Some of that information was useful, but the majority of it was not," she said.
Elsewhere in the interview, Eilish spoke about her frustration surrounding the need to constantly explain herself.
"The thing that’s been frustrating and gives me a lot of anxiety is the feeling of needing to explain myself all the time, there’s so many difficult parts about fame, but one of the most frustrating things is that you can’t defend or explain yourself," the singer explained.
"I’m like, ‘Dude, imagine everyone in the world heard a rumor about you and it’s either not true or it’s explained out of context.’ And my want and need to explain myself, I have found to be extremely damaging to my life and my sense of self."

The singer seemed to indicate that she is currently single and she is not afraid to make jokes about her current relationship status.
“I plan on never dating again,” the singer quipped before adding: "That’s not true, obviously. But no, I don’t see myself being serious with anyone until I find someone that really feels right to me, and that is not interesting to me right now."
