Celine Dion no longer has ‘control over her muscles’ anymore amid her battle with Stiff Person Syndrome.
Claudette Dion recently provided a health update on her famous sister, revealing Celine might take some time to return to the stage.
The legendary performer was forced to cancel her world tour last December following her diagnosis.

“She's working hard, but she doesn't have control over her muscles. What breaks my heart is that she's always been disciplined,” Claudette told 7 Jours, as per the Daily Mail.
“She's always worked hard. Our mother always told her, 'You're going to do it well, you're going to do it properly.'”
Stiff Person Syndrome is a rare neurological disorder characterized by stiffness of the muscles, particularly in the axial muscles.

Individuals with Stiff Person Syndrome experience episodes of muscle stiffness and spasms triggered by various factors, including emotional stress, sudden movements, or external stimuli like loud noises.
The 74-year-old added that due to the illness being extremely rare, there’s been little research on finding a cure.
Despite Celine seeing the ‘top doctors in their field’, she's had very little progress with her health.
“We can't find any medicine that works, but having hope is important,” Claudette added.

The star first shared her diagnosis in December last year in a heartbreaking Instagram post.
“As you know, I’ve always been an open book, and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I’m ready now. I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through,” she began in a teary video.
“Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects someone like one in a million people, while we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is the reason why I’ve been having all the spasms I’ve been having.”

The singer added that she can ‘no longer sing the way she used to’.
The hitmaker was flooded with kind messages from fans following her announcement, as one fan wrote: “Much love, health and strength, Celine.”
Another said: “You are a strong woman and we love you.”
While a third shared: “I am so sorry you are going through this Celine. The world is on your side, we are praying for you.”
