DJ and music producer Diplo admitted he took psychedelics before his appearance on CNN's special New Year's Eve Live show.
The 46-year-old musician - real name Thomas Wesley Pentz - who's part of multiple music groups including Major Lazer, was in Los Angeles to perform three New Year's Eve concerts.
And during his live interview with CNN presenters Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, the hosts decided to ask the DJ the 'most conventional place' he'd ever done the drug LSD.
What is LSD?
For those of you who don't know what LSD is, Healthline explains: "LSD - casually known as acid - is a powerful hallucinogenic drug made from lysergic acid, a fungus that grows on grains like rye."

The type of 'high' you get from taking LSD is referred to as a 'trip' and this experience isn't always a positive one.
Healthline continues: "These trips have been described as everything from a spiritual awakening to a trip to the depths of hell (aka the dreaded 'bad trip').
"While it’s been studied for potential therapeutic uses, LSD remains a Schedule I drug in the United States. This means it’s illegal to possess, manufacture, or distribute it."
How was Diplo on it?
A clip of the show shared to Twitter shows Diplo telling the CNN hosts he's on LSD 'right now' during the live interview as he 'did some on the helicopter on the way here'.

Cohen and Cooper alongside Diplo all start laughing, before the DJ adds: "I'm not even lying."
"Please tell me, you're tripping right now?" Cohen continues.
Diplo noted he was only on a 'light trip' as he had 'microdosed'.
Healthline notes: "Some claim that taking small amounts, or microdoses, of psychedelic substances offers a range of mental and physical health benefits. These tiny doses are said to maximize the benefits of psychedelic substances without the uncomfortable side effects they’re traditionally known for.

"In reality, microdosing is more complicated than it sounds. For starters, most substances used in microdosing are illegal in many areas. This also means that there isn’t much high quality scientific evidence on the topic."
After the DJ left the interview to do his performances, Cooper reflected: "I wish I was Diplo. I got to say. I just think he has a fun, cool lifestyle. Can you imagine his lifestyle? ‘I’m Diplo. I do things'."
UNILAD has contacted Diplo's representatives and CNN for comment.
