"The timing of the arrest looks as if it was planned," another speculated.
A third went on: "I don’t care what the misdemeanour offence is, timing of the arrest is so wrong."
Others joked that the rapper had been arrested for 'stealing' one of his Grammys from fellow nominee Travis Scott.

In a similar jibe, Jay-Z called out the Grammys for not nominating his wife Beyoncé for Album of the Year.
While on stage collecting his collect the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award alongside daughter Blue Ivy, 11, the '99 Problems' rapper urged the Grammys to 'get it right'.
He continued: "At least getting close to right. And obviously it's subjective. Y'all don't gotta clap at everything. Obviously it's subjective because, you know, it's music and it's opinion-based."

Giving the nod to Beyoncé, Jay-Z went on: "You know, some things — I don't want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn't work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won album of the year. That doesn't work.
"You know, some of you gonna go home tonight and feel like you've been robbed. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don't belong in a category. No, when I get nervous I tell the truth."
Don't hold back or anything, Jay.
