Taylor Swift is one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, but have you ever noticed the way she holds a pen?
2023 was a momental for Swift as she officially reached billionaire status, thanks - for the most part - due to the success of her Eras Tour.
In fact, Swift's earnings from the tour are set to be more than 42 nations' yearly economic output.
And there's, of course, been her reported blossoming relationship with Travis Kelce as well.

So, with all that success and good tracks, you probably haven't noticed how Swift holds a pen.
Well, this is the internet after all, so people online have, of course, picked up on it.
Many people's attentions have been drawn to it from the music video of Swift's hit song 'Anti-Hero', the lead single of the singer's 'Midnights' album.

In it, Swift is seen writing on a pad of paper as one of her alter-egos point to a chalkboard with the words 'Everyone will betray you' on it.
Obviously, there is a lot going on in the scene - but that hasn't stopped fans from noticing how the 'Shake it Off' singer is holding a pen.
Most people typically hold a pen or pencil with their thumb and index finger, however, that's certainly not where Swift's pen is being held.
The singer, on the other hand, holds the pen between her index and middle finger - something that looks rather uncomfortable indeed.

Such a move is obviously comfortable for Swift - though that hasn't stopped most of the internet being left utterly bewildered by the action.
"My 2024 is off to a rocky start, as I just learned this is how Taylor Swift holds her pen," one person penned on X, (formerly known as Twitter).
However, they also did quote tweet a possible explanation for why Swift holds a pen the way she does, which said: "It’s so she can write and hold a guitar pick at the same time!"

Some had noticed many years prior, with a Reddit user penning some 11 years ago: "As a preschool teacher, I have to say I'm pretty concerned about Taylor Swift's pencil grip."
Well, the revelation made another Reddit user try it as they quipped: "Ok, so I just tried to write like this and it is surprisingly easy.
"Might even be a little bit better if you actually get good at it!"
After a try myself, can't say I agree with this statement.
