Jane’s Addiction cancel rest of tour and ‘take time away’ after having massive fight mid-gig

The band shared the news on Twitter after the fight in Boston

Rock band Jane’s Addiction have announced their decision to cancel the rest of their tour and take a break after getting into a physical altercation while on stage.

The band took to Twitter to share the news today (September 16), after the fight broke out during a gig in Boston on Friday 13.

The band, known for their tracks 'Three Days' and 'Jane Says', were performing for the crowd when fans allegedly began to hear lead man Perry Farrell swearing into his mic.

He then turned his frustrations directly towards his guitarist, Dave Navarro, and struck out with a punch, prompting crew members to rush on to the stage and grab the singer.

The incident led to the rest of the show being cancelled, and Jane's Addiction have now confirmed that they won't be back any time soon.

They wrote on Twitter: "To all the fans, the band have made the difficult decision to take some time away as a group. As such, they will be cancelling the remainder of the tour."

The statement went on to assure fans who had already bought tickets to the tour that refunds would be issued for the cancelled dates.

"If you purchased from a third-party resale site like StubHub, SeatGeek, etc, please reach out to them direct," the band added, before concluding: "Thank you, Jane's Addiction."
