The saga of Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish's perceived beef continues, with many feeling as though both women are continuously sneak-dissing one another in a variety of ways.
While there has been no confirmation that there’s any true ill-will among the two popstars, fans of both have begun to notice micro-aggressive acts that each has done that seem to in some way reference the other.
A lot of this stems from the fact that, upon the release of Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard & Soft, Swift decided to drop several rereleases of her recent double album, Tortured Poets Department, on the same day. This has effectively stopped Eilish from what seemed to be her destiny of topping the album charts this week.

However, the story, seemingly, is much deeper than that, as many fans speculate that Swift’s potential beef with Eilish stems from the 22-year-old making a general criticism of the wastefulness of the music industry, something she takes very seriously as an environmentalist.
Many presumed that Eilish’s comments were about Swift, who has famously garnered criticism for her wastefulness when it comes to her private jet usage and releasing several variants of vinyl records, all of which use harmful materials to the environment.
Billie went on to say in an Instagram story that her statements–namely about vinyl records–were not directed at anybody specifically but, rather, were statements on a systemic issue within the music industry.

Despite this, many still believe there is ill-will among the two pop stars. While Billie added fuel to the fire by revealing she had sent a special promotional box for her album to Kim Kardashian, a notorious adversary of Taylor’s, the Cruel Summer singer recently added her own fuel as well.
Along with the special additions of her album being released the same week as Billie's, Swift also released a special remix of her song, Fortnight, made by environmentalist music producer BLOND:ISH as a part of the week’s rereleases, as well.
Many fans of Eilish believe Swift’s decision to be so active this past week, just over a month after her album’s initial release, was a deliberate effort to steal shine away from Eilish’s release. One fan even noted that Swift did something similar to SZA in 2022 and received backlash for that, as well.

“She basically blocked her from number 1 in 2022 by doing the same shenanigans as she’s now to block Billie,” the Reddit commenter recalled, “She released multiple variants of Anti Hero just so SZA couldn’t claim the top spot.”
While these all may be mere coincidences and the two pop stars aren’t at odds, the sporadic additional rollout from Swift for Tortured Poets Department will likely sting for the Bad Guy singer in the event that it retains the #1 spot over Hit Me Hard & Soft this week.
