Red Hot Chili Peppers fans are flocking to social media in excitement over a recent interview with Flea.
Flea - full name Michael Peter Balzary - is one of the founding members of the American rock band which formed in Los Angeles in 1982.
Bassist Flea, alongside vocalist Anthony Kiedis, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante went on to create hits such as 1999's 'Californication' and 2002's 'Can't Stop'.

Despite being known as music legends, the quartet don't thrust themselves into the limelight as often as some other celebrities do, and so a recent interview of Flea has taken fans by surprise.
Flea sat down with YouTube channel First We Feast for its Hot Ones series. An iconic series and an iconic musician, what more could YouTube users want?
In the episode, titled Flea Is Red Hot While Eating Spicy Wings, the 61-year-old makes his way through ten different stages of hot wings.

And if anyone can hack the heat, surely it's a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, right?
Well, Flea's attempt to eat the 'wings of death' is certainly an impressive one, the musician not breaking a sweat until admirably far into the feat.
He jokes: "It's not my first trip on the hot sauce car," before then he delves into the challenge.

Wing one poses no problem at all to the musician and after a bit of time 'processing' the flavour, Flea reviews wing two as having 'a little depth to it'.
He remains 'chilling' until wing number five, when things start heating up a bit and he 'feels a little somethin' somethin'.
By wing six he has to distract himself with a bit of a singsong as the burn gets a bit more 'serious' by wing number seven.
Flea jokes he may need a hug by the eighth, the heat really 'building' calling for a quick drum break and beat box session, and by number nine, he has 'teary eyes'.

Nevertheless, he makes it all the way to number 10.
Fans of the musician and the Chili Peppers have flooded to the post in excited surprise at Flea's interview appearance.
One YouTube user said: "What a guy. I never really knew much about Flea but he seems like a genuine guy that has not forgotten where he came from."

A third commented: "I always knew Flea was outrageously intelligent, but I've never heard him speak before, I'm shocked by how articulate, poignant, and sharp he is in his speech. What a fantastic interview!"
And a fourth resolved: "Flea just seems so genuinely open to life and stoked to be here. Beautiful human. This is an all-timer episode for sure."
