People are flooding to social media to question whether a song in Taylor Swift's latest album is about Olivia Rodrigo.
Can two women not just be successful and happy and relish in their own success without being compared?
Well, apparently not, because fans of the two pop stars are convinced they've each referenced one another in their music, with Swift's latest album drop adding fuel to the fire first set alight in 2023.
Last year, Rodrigo unexpectedly dropped 'Vampire' ahead of her sophomore album release Guts.

And there was one line of lyrics which some fans picked up on.
The lyrics read: "Bloodsucker, fame f**ker, bleedin’ me dry like a goddamn vampire!"
For some reason or other, some music fans believed the line was referencing Swift as a result of reports of the pair having allegedly 'fallen out' over Swift receiving a co-writing credit and royalty entitlement to Rodrigo's breakthrough track 'Deja Vu' - which interpolated Swift's 'Cruel Summer'.
However, Rodrigo quickly responded to the speculation, telling The Guardian while she 'never want[s] to say who any of [her] songs are about' she also thinks 'it's better to not pigeonhole a song to being about this one thing' adding she was 'very surprised' people had put the lyric and Swift together.

Alas, upon the release of Swift's latest album, it's not taken long for the rumor mill to get going again.
According to some social media users, Swift's 'Clara Bow' is 'about Olivia'.
One X user said: "Someone said the outro of clara bow is about olivia and now i can’t unsee it."

"i’m sorry clara bow is so obviously about olivia. i’m pretty there are articles that specifically said olivia is 19 year old taylor with more edge," another added.
A third commented: "Clara bow is about olivia rodrigo and you can’t change my mind otherwise."
Here are some examples of the lyrics so you can judge for yourself.
Verse three reads: "The crown is stained, but you’re the real queen/ Flesh and blood amongst war machines/ You’re the new god we’re worshipping/ Promise to be dazzling."

The bridge: "Beauty is a beast that roars down on all fours demanding more/ Only when your girlish glow flickers just so/ Do they let you know?/ It’s hell on earth to be heavenly/ Them’s the breaks, they don’t come gently."
And the outro: "You look like Taylor Swift/ In this light, we’re loving it/ You’ve got edge, she never did/ The future’s bright, dazzling."
I mean, even if Swift's lyrics are about Rodrigo, they seem pretty complimentary. And after Swift's standing ovation of Rodrigo at the Grammys? Well, it's clear there's probably no serious beef here so why don't we all just focus on the music everyone?
