An Australian MP has issued a plea to Taylor Swift ahead of her tour.
Usually when a politician is commenting on a concert or event in their jurisdiction it's for negative reasons. However, Australian MP Andrew Wallace bucked that trend when he issued a plea to Taylor Swift regarding her tour of the country.
Wallace was left gutted when he found out that Swift didn't have a date scheduled in his state of Queensland.

The heartbroken MP has pleaded with the singer to add another date to her tour, even pointing out that there's a handy spot in the schedule which is perfect in terms of timing.
In a direct plea to Swift, he said: “Taylor, I’m asking you, begging you, I’m pleading with you. I’ll get down on my knees if I have to. Please come to Queensland. There are so many Swiftie fans in Queensland. I am one of them.
“To the guys at Frontier touring company, I don’t know why you left Queensland off, it’s the first time Taylor will be visiting Australia and not Queensland.”

He also combed the tour diary and suggested a possible date for a Queensland concert.
Wallace told reports in Canberra: “Interestingly, there is about a week in between her three concerts in Sydney and two concerts in Melbourne. That is the perfect opportunity."
The MP became a fan of Swift thanks to his four daughters after spending hours in the car listening to the singer.

Millions of Swifties across Australia and New Zealand have begun the scramble for tickets after the star announced her latest tour. However, people from Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth were left disappointed when they discovered the hitmaker would not be visiting these states.
A petition has already started online asking the singer to add a date in Brisbane to the tour.
But Wallace has taken things a step further and even changed part of his official website to request that Swift come to Queensland.

The website says: "I’m the dad of four daughters, and I’m an unashamed Swiftie. And I’m a proud Queenslander who knows that thousands of fans are disappointed to see Queensland left off the Eras Tour map.
"I’m calling on Frontier Touring to extend Taylor’s tour to Queensland – and particularly to the Sunshine Coast, the heart of Queensland’s Swiftie population."
That's quite some dedication!
