As the defamation trial between Amber Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp reaches its 11th day, emails have been read to the court detailing Heard’s relationship with the richest man in the world, Elon Musk.
Heard and Musk met on the set of 2013 film Machete Kills. After Heard divorced Depp and Musk finalised his split from his then-wife Talulah Riley in 2016, the pair started dating.
The couple’s on-again, off-again romance lasted until early 2018, Page Six reports.

In texts to Heard’s agent, Christian Carino, at the time, which were read out yesterday (27 April) in the ongoing court case, Heard seemed lukewarm about her new relationship with the billionaire.
Writing when Musk and Depp had temporarily split in August 2017, Carino texted Heard: “You told me a thousand times you were just filling space. You weren’t in love with him.”
In another exchange, Heard told Carino: “I hate it that yet again a man lets me fall on the spikes by myself.”

Carino responded: “If you don’t like your personal life being in the press, don’t date famous men. You could stop that if you stop dating uber-famous people.”
During this time, Heard also seemed to mourn the end of her relationship with Depp, texting Carino to say ‘god, I miss him’ while she was dating Musk.
Though the Tesla CEO may not be best thrilled to see the details of his private life aired in court, he will no doubt be occupied by his recent purchase of social media giant Twitter.
Earlier this week, Twitter and Musk reached a deal for him to buy the social platform for $44 billion.

In the statement announcing the agreement, Musk said: "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.
"I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential – I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it."
Bret Taylor, Twitter's Independent Board Chair, said: "The Twitter Board conducted a thoughtful and comprehensive process to assess Elon's proposal with a deliberate focus on value, certainty, and financing.

"The proposed transaction will deliver a substantial cash premium, and we believe it is the best path forward for Twitter's stockholders."
Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal said: "Twitter has a purpose and relevance that impacts the entire world. Deeply proud of our teams and inspired by the work that has never been more important."
