Horrifying simulation shows what happens to your body if you are swallowed by a whale

Well, I guess I'll never be swimming in the ocean again

Great, there is a now another reason to be fearful of the vast ocean as a simulation has shown what would happen if you are unfortunate enough to be swallowed whole by a sperm whale.

Normally when it comes to the ocean, besides fearing mythical creatures like Cthulhu, most people are fearful of encountering animals like sharks.

Which makes sense, who wants to randomly be pulled beneath the depths and ripped to shreds, or at least have a few chunks of them bitten off?

However, when it comes to your irrational fears list, a simulation of what happens to your body when you are swallowed by a sperm whale makes a great case to be added.

Okay, so encountering a sperm whale - a species native to all deep oceans, from the equator to the edge of the pack ice in the Arctic and Antarctica - is pretty unlikely while out swimming, it's good to be prepared... right?

If you are unlucky enough to be swimming and get swallowed by the ocean behemoth, you would likely face a pretty unfortunate end.

A video showcasing the simulation was shared on the Zackdfilms YouTube channel has got vowing to keep out the ocean for foreseeable future. Take a look below:

The narrator says: “If you were swallowed by a sperm whale you would be squeezed down its massive throat. You’d continue down its esophagus and into a series of stomach chambers that are filled with digestive acids,”

This is certainly as terrible as it sounds and this is emphasized by the dummy used in the simulation having a permanent screaming face. How lovely.

The narrator continued: “These acids would immediately start breaking down your body but even if you managed to avoid the acid, the lack of air inside the whale would quickly cause you to suffocate.”

So honestly, I don’t know how Jonah managed it.

And people online even noted to top it all off, this would be happening in the dark unless the whale had also swallowed some working lights as well.

“Bro I swear this channel gives me unlocking phobias,” one person on social media coimmented.

“What makes it scarier is that theres no light and the smell, whenever you try to ask for help no one would hear you and you will just rot there,” another added.

“This is ACTUALLY traumatizing, not just a slightly weird animation,” commented another.

Amazingly, a man went through a very similar ordeal and lived to tell the horrifying tale.

Massachusetts lobster diver Michael Packard was scooped up into the mouth of a humpback whale he was out diving in 2021.

Thankfully, he didn’t go through the ordeal in the animation and was spat out seconds later.
