Bill Cosby can be seen moments after being released from prison in a new video that’s been shared to mark the year anniversary of his getting out of jail on a technicality.

Shared on both Cosby and his publicist Andrew Wyatt’s social media pages, Cosby can be seen sitting in the passenger seat of Wyatt’s car as he explains he’d been sleeping in his prison cell when he was told he’d be walking free that day.

In the clip, Cosby and Wyatt were also heard saying that Cosby was no longer a ‘violent sex offender’, however, the star was only released from prison on a technicality.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that case prosecutors had violated Cosby’s rights by failing to honour a promise not to charge him. Watch the clip below:

When Cosby was asked by Wyatt in the clip: “How you feeling, Mr C?” he replied: “Well, it’s starting to hit. I was in the bed, in the cot, and they open the door, and about four or five guys yelled ‘Bill, get up, you’re going home’.” Cosby later added: “I’m a free man you know.”

The publishing of the video comes days after a Los Angeles jury decided Cosby must pay Judy Huth, who he sexually abused when she was just a teenager back in 1975, $500,000 in damages.

Huth, now 64, was awarded the sum in LA on 21 June after jurors decided that Cosby’s conduct was driven by unnatural or abnormal sexual interest in a minor and that he caused harmful sexual contact with Huth during the incident, which took place at the Playboy Mansion.

According to the MailOnline, Cosby’s publicist Wyatt revealed he directed a celebratory ‘booyah!’ Cosby’s way when telling him the news. The pair ‘celebrated’ as Cosby thought he’d have to pay a much larger sum.

When told he had to pay Huth $500,000 (£407,000), Cosby reportedly said to Wyatt: “What? That's all?”

Wyatt told the outlet: “[Cosby] said, ‘That's a victory, not having to pay Huth punitive legal bills’. He was happy that no punitive [damages] were awarded.”

Wyatt added in a statement to UNILAD: "We are very pleased with the jury not awarding Ms Huth punitive damages, which would have been an estimated $20 million dollars.

"The $500 thousand dollar verdict will be appealed and Ms. Huth legal bills are an estimated $4 million dollars. This was huge victory for us."

The jury’s decision marked the closure of one of the final outstanding legal claims against Cosby, who has faced accusations of sexual assault from more than 50 women spanning almost five decades.
