The founder of Cash App has been stabbed to death.
Bob Lee was attacked in San Francisco's downtown area of Rincon Hill at around 2.35am yesterday morning (4 April), police have said.
Cops were called to the scene outside a high rise on the 300 block of Main Street, where the 43-year-old was found having been stabbed multiple times.

Despite being rushed to hospital, Lee was pronounced dead as a result of his severe injuries a few hours later.
No arrests have been made as yet, and no details of potential suspects have been released either.
In a statement, San Francisco Police said: "Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

"Despite efforts by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries."
Following news of the tech mogul's death, people within the industry have taken to social media to express their sadness at his loss.
Joshua Goldbard, the founder of MobileCoin, where Lee had worked since November 2021, said: "My heart is broken tonight."
He also told ABC7: "Bob was a force of nature. Helped to birth Android and CashApp into our world. Moby was his dream: a privacy-protecting wallet for the 21st Century. I will miss him every day."

"Was scheduled to work on @mobilecoin with you tomorrow AM @crazybob," wrote another, tagging Lee in the post. "You always believed in me, I’ll be forever grateful.
"Committed to seeing this project for as long as the Team will have me, to the very end."
"RIP to one of the realist most brilliant humans I’ve ever met @crazybob," put a third.

While someone else added: "@crazybob was one of a kind. May his memory be a blessing."
During his career, Lee also worked at Google, where he was part of Android’s core library team, helping launch its massively successful operating system.
He later went on to found the social network Present, before working with the World Health Organization on its mobile app during the Covid pandemic.
