A 10-year-old boy has been accused of stealing a car and leading police on a chase on the freeway.
Most kids would jump for joy at having a weekend away from their parents, able to sneakily nab more sweets, extend your bedtime by a couple of hours and watch TV until your eyes turn square.
But for one 10-year-old from Michigan, the homesickness became so strong that he seemingly went to great lengths to see his mother.
On Saturday (27 May), at around 1:40pm, Michigan State Police troopers received a call from OnStar - an in-vehicle security service and subsidiary of General Motors.

Troopers were quickly dispatched to the location of the vehicle - which was able to be pinpointed by the car's OnStar system.
