Brad Pitt has responded to explosive abuse claims made by his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, with whom he shares six children.
The pair are entangled in an ongoing legal battle over a French wine company they once jointly owned.
On Tuesday (4 October), Jolie filed new allegations of abuse, claiming Pitt ‘choked one of their children and struck another in the face’ and ‘grabbed Jolie by the head, shook her and poured beer on the star’. Pitt is also accused of ‘pouring red wine and beer on the children’.

In a statement regarding the allegations - which according to Jolie took place on board a private plane in 2016 - Pitt’s representative challenged his ex’s claims.
A spokesperson for Pitt told CNN that Jolie’s latest allegations are ‘completely untrue’.
The A-listers are embroiled in a legal row over Jolie’s stake in winery Chateau Miraval.

She sold her half of the wine company back in 2021, leading Pitt to sue Jolie, alleging that the pair agreed not to sell without consent from one another.
Countersuing, Jolie insisted no agreement existed and that she sold her portion to have ‘financial independence’ from Pitt.
Jolie also said she wanted ‘some form of peace and closure to this deeply painful and traumatic chapter of her and their children’s lives’.
In court documents seen by CNN, Jolie shared more details about the alleged incident in September 2016, which is said to have taken place five days before she filed for divorce.

CNN points to a segment of Jolie’s counterclaim that’s titled ‘Why Jolie separated from Pitt’.
The document alleges that before the pair arrived at the airport with their children, Pitt got into an argument with one of their kids.
Once on the plane, Jolie allegedly asked Pitt what was wrong, and claims the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star then ‘verbally attacked her’.

Half an hour later, Jolie claims Pitt ‘pulled her into the bathroom, grabbed her by the head and shook her, and then grabbed her shoulders and shook her again before pushing her into the bathroom wall’.
The claim continues: “Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened. Many were crying.”
